With the development of the electronic information industry and the popularization of household appliances, China's capacitor industry has achieved unprecedented development, meeting the needs of the development of electronic complete machines and household appliances in terms of quantity, quality, and service, and driving the development of related materials, equipment, and instrument industries. It has now become a major global capacitor production country.

China has become a major producer of capacitors

In terms of sales revenue, the production of capacitors is mainly concentrated in Japan, mainland China, and Taiwan. China has become a major producer of capacitor products globally, second only to Japan.

In terms of quantity, since the reform and opening up, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan have shifted their capacitor manufacturing industry to mainland China. The world's electronic information machine manufacturing industry has set up factories in mainland China, and multinational companies purchase from mainland China. China has become a major producer and consumer of capacitors in the world.

The demand for capacitors in the domestic market for complete machine production has increased significantly, and China is becoming an important market for global capacitor consumption. The capacitor industry had significant development potential from 2006 to 2010.

The capacitor industry must adapt to the new environment

The continuous emergence of new electronic information machines, household appliances, communication equipment, etc. has brought opportunities to the capacitor industry. Capacitor enterprises should adapt to market changes, do a good job in market operations, and continuously launch products that meet different machine requirements in order to become stronger.

1. Changes in users.

The popularization and upgrading of electronic consumer goods are causing significant changes in electronic devices. The capacitor industry in our country has gradually developed and grown to support traditional household appliances. Today's home appliances have entered the digital age, with a focus on digital color televisions. Secondly, household appliances have expanded to include variable frequency and environmentally friendly air conditioners, home theaters, computers, and communication products, so the target audience (customers) of services will also change.

The digitization of electronic devices and the networking of electronic systems require the platformization of electronic components.

Electronic complete machines have developed towards digitization, high-frequency, multifunctionality, and portability, while electronic systems are moving towards networking and high-speed processing. The integration and functionality of integrated circuits are improving, the circuit of the whole machine is simplifying, the number of electronic components used in single machines is decreasing, and the number of single machines themselves is increasing. In order to adapt to this change, the miniaturization and chip design of capacitors must be accelerated.

3. Gradually integrate into the international market.

China has become an important production base for electronic components worldwide, and the export volume of capacitors accounts for a large proportion of production. Electronic information products are the first batch of imported goods to achieve "zero tariffs" after China's accession to the WTO, so a large number of electronic components have entered the Chinese market. In 2006, the import quantity of electrolytic capacitors was 89 billion and that of thin film capacitors was 6 billion, which can be said to be a big import and export, integrating with the international market. The efforts to advance into the international market should be strengthened in all aspects. Therefore, it is increasingly important to fully understand the game rules of the WTO.

4. Environmental standards and regulations are being fully implemented, and the ISO14000 standard is imperative.

In 2002, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union passed the RoHS Directive (on the prohibition of the use of certain harmful substances in electrical and electronic equipment) and the WEEE Directive (on scrapped electronic equipment).

The standards for the limit requirements of harmful substances in electronic information products in China have been officially released and implemented since November 6, 2006.

5. Pay attention to the implementation of social responsibility standard SA8000

SA8000 is another international standard that has had a wide impact globally, following ISO14000. Its focus is not on product quality and environmental protection systems, but on the basic rights and working conditions of employees. Some countries, such as the United States, have mandated the implementation of SA8000, linking orders with the social responsibility that companies should bear. The implementation of the SA8000 standard is currently affecting some industrial sectors in China and should be given full attention.

We have the basic conditions for a new round of development

The capacitor industry in China has the basic conditions to enter a new round of development, mainly reflected in:

1. Factory management is basically in line with the international community.

The product technical indicators adopt IEC standards, and the factory management has obtained the ISO9000 qualification certificate. Quality (in a broad sense) is carried out in a controlled state for all activities of the enterprise. Green and environmentally friendly ISO14000 certification, lead-free work has been basically completed. Safety certification: Great Wall CQC, UL, CSA, VDE and other eight country safety certifications are widely implemented. Communication capacitors, anti-interference capacitors, and high-voltage capacitors have obtained global certification, providing a reliable foundation for product quality assurance. Xiamen Fara Electronics, Ningbo Xinrong Electric, Shenzhen Dongyangguang Industrial Development Co., Ltd., Nantong Jianghai Capacitor Co., Ltd., Kunshan Wanfeng Electronics, Southern Hongming Electronics and other enterprises have gained certain popularity in the international and domestic markets

2. The domestic materials, equipment, and instrument industries are developing and growing.

The raw materials, manufacturing equipment, and measuring instruments used for capacitors can basically meet the requirements in the domestic industry. These industries have strong innovation capabilities and have entered the international market.

The technology team in the capacitor industry is growing in development.

The team of technical experts who are familiar with production processes and quality management, proficient in equipment, able to grasp the direction of product development, and able to independently design products has grown and grown, which is a valuable asset of our industry.

4. Our industry already has an excellent group of entrepreneurs.

A group of entrepreneurs who possess economic knowledge, understand government policies, are good at managing enterprises, grasp development directions, have financing capabilities, are honest and trustworthy, and work diligently have formed. Some have already completed their original accumulation, which is the hope for our industry to enter a new round of development climax.
